Service summary

This is a non-commercial hunting licence which enables the holder to shoot a prescribed range of species under specific conditions.

If you intend to hunt on private property, then written permission must be obtained from the Land Owner. Anyone dealing with animals must have a firm understanding of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Regulations. Further information is obtainable from Information SA (08 8204 1900).

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.


Permits are 1, 3 or 5 years; Duck and Quail permits are only available on declaration of a season and for the period of a season.


Basic 1 year - $23.90, 3 year - $71.70, 5 year - $119.50
Junior basic 1 year - $11.90, 3 year - $35.70, 5 year - $59.50
