Service summary

You will require this licence if you intend to have, use or permit the use of a stable on your land. This licence applies if your land is situated in a residential zone.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • Specify the place and manner (including any enclosure) the animal(s) will be kept;
  • Submit a block plan of the property, including measurements and showing the portion of the property to be used;
  • Place an advertisement in the public notices section of the local newspaper;
  • Submit any other information Council may require; and
  • Pay any required fees.

Duration

Up to twelve months.

Expiry

Expires on 30 June following the date of issue.
