Service summary

You will require this licence if you intend to keep several dogs, whether for commercial or private reasons. Several dogs is defined as more than 4 working dogs or more than 2 non-working dogs over the age of 6 months.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • Provide evidence of preparation for good health, welfare and adequate control of all dogs on your premises;
  • Provide information on the breeds, kinds and maximum number of dogs that may be kept on your premises;
  • Submit the appropriate application form;
  • Comply with any conditions as determined by the Council; and
  • Pay the required fees.
