Fishing Activities Permit - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to conduct any activities that are otherwise prohibited under fishing legislation. Examples of such activities include:

  • Scientific research;
  • Promotion of fishing or fish products;
  • The development of new fisheries and fishing technology;
  • Developing educational and community programs;
  • Collecting, keeping, breeding, hatching or cultivating of rare or endangered fish; and
  • Bioprospecting.
