AS 2130 Cots for Day Nursery, Hospital and Institutional Use - Safety Requirements - Tasmania

Description

You will need to comply with this standard if you intend to operate a private hospital or day-procedure centre and care for children under two years of age.

This standard specifies requirements for cots for day nursery, hospital and institutional use. These requirements include material, design, construction, performance, labelling and marking, all relating to safety of the child within the cot. The standard applies to cots constructed of metal or plastic, but not timber cots due to the nature of the intended environment and the need for ease of cleaning.
