You will require this licence if you intend to offer insurance cover to employers for the purpose of limiting their liability to their workers in the event of an injury.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must demonstrate that your business has:

  • adequate systems in place to ensure all policies are correct and up to date
  • provided all policy holders with correct information regarding their coverage
  • complied with all Tasmanian and national requirements
  • maintained an accurate system of maintaining records of policy holders
  • charged premiums that accurately reflect the employer's individual circumstances.
