Payroll Tax Registration - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this registration if you are an employer, or group of related businesses, and you are liable for payroll tax. You will be liable if you pay wages to employees in Tasmania and your total wages paid in Australia, or the total wages of a group of related businesses, exceeds $1.25 million.

  • fall into the category of employers that are required to register
  • correctly fill in an application form.

Please submit your application form directly with the Agency. After your application has been approved, you will be sent an information pack and will be required to register for online transactions relating to payroll tax.
