You will require this permit if you intend to export local wildlife or related materials from Tasmania. This permit covers living creatures, the remains or products of partly protected, protected, or specially protected wildlife such as possums and wallabies.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this licence, you must:
- Register any export licences as required by the Commonwealth before submitting this application;
- Complete the required application form and other documentation as required by Tasmanian law;
- Hold appropriate current indemnity insurance; and
- Pay any required fees.
All wallaby and brushtail possum skins must be branded and the royalty paid prior to export. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information regarding eligibility requirements.
$15.30 minimum or $3.06 per specimen, whichever is the greatest.
A copy of the permit is required to be fixed externally to the carrier in which the animal or product is being transported.
Allow five working days for approval of applications and issuing of permits.
