Permit to Export Wildlife - Tasmania

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to export live animals or wildlife products from Tasmania. Live animals include pets and animals intended for exhibition in wildlife parks and zoos, while products of wildlife includes meat, fur and skins.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • register any export licences as needed by the Commonwealth before submitting this application
  • hold appropriate current indemnity insurance.

All wallaby and brushtail possum skins must be branded and the royalty paid prior to export.

Per consignment, not exceeding three months.
