Automotive Gas-fitting Practitioner's Licence - TAS - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to carry out automotive gas-fitting work. Automotive gas-fitting work includes the installation, service and repair of an automotive gas fuel system on a motor vehicle engine, forklift engine or engine on industrial equipment.

If you have overseas qualifications you will need to apply for a provisional licence.

To be eligible for a practitioner's or practitioner restricted licence you must:

be a fit and proper person
have the relevant qualifications, experience and competencies
have completed the relevant training
undertake continuing professional development.

To be eligible for a provisional practitioner's licence you must:

be a fit and proper person
fulfil the requirements for mutual recognition of your qualifications, experience and competencies
have completed the training needed to satisfy the gap training requirements
undertake continuing professional development.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will need to maintain your skills through continuing professional development.
