Authorisation of an Explosive - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this authorisation if you intend to use an explosive. This authorisation will only be granted if the explosive:

  • has or could have a legitimate use in Tasmania
  • can be made available or tested for such use
  • can be, with appropriate safeguards, safely handled.

This authorisation does not allow the import, transport, manufacture, storage, supply or use of any explosive, without obtaining the relevant licence or permit from the Agency allowing the holder to undertake that activity.
