Racing Club Registration - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this registration if you operate a racing club and you intend to conduct race meetings at a licensed racecourse. This includes race meetings for thoroughbreds, harness racing and greyhounds.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for registration, a club must:

  • Be incorporated;
  • Meet minimum member and annual membership requirements;
  • Within 12 months of lodging its application for registration be likely to be the owner or lessee of a racecourse complying with prescribed conditions; and
  • Pay any required fees.
