You will need this accreditation if you intend to operate a hire and drive passenger service. Hire and drive passenger service operators run a service where a vehicle is hired out, without a driver, for the carriage of passengers. This includes dual cab utilities and mobile homes.
Hire vehicles used to carry goods (such as single cab utilities, vans and trucks) are not passenger vehicles. If your business is just hiring out these types of vehicles, you do not need this accreditation.
Accreditation is a legal requirement and acknowledges that you have in place systems and processes that meet approved standards to ensure the safety of the service you intend to provide.
