Australian Standard AS 5601 Gas Installations - Tasmania

Service summary

You are required to comply with this standard if you operate a gas facility. You must submit a safety and operating plan for each facility that complies with this standard. The standard specifies requirements for consumer piping, flues, ventilation and appliance installations which are associated with the use or intended use of fuel gases such as either:

  • town gas
  • natural gas
  • liquefied petroleum gas in the vapour phase
  • tempered liquefied petroleum gas
  • simulated natural gas
  • any similar substance.
