Permit for Commercial Refuse Disposal Activities - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require a permit if you intend to:

  • Deal in the collection, disposal, or sale of recyclable or rubbish goods;
  • Operate a commercial refuse collection vehicle;
  • Enter a refuse disposal area, recycling centre or resource recovery facility for commercial activities when the area is closed to the general public; or
  • Remain in the disposal area longer than is reasonably necessary to deposit or collect rubbish or recyclable materials.

Permissible activities may vary. Please talk to your council commercial waste section before commencing your waste collection activities.
