Registration as an Education Provider for Overseas Students - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this registration if you intend to offer education services to overseas students. You must also ensure that the course you intend to offer is also registered. Registration is a two stage process:

  • the organisation / provider must gain approval by the Agency, and when approved
  • a recommendation is made to the Commonwealth Agency for the provider to be listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • demonstrate financial viability
  • provide adequate premises, equipment, materials and staff as prescribed by the National Code
  • provide student support services
  • demonstrate systems to monitor compliance with any conditions to which the registration would be subject
  • complete any approved forms
  • Pay the prescribed fee.
