Dealer Registration Scheme - Vehicle Registration - Tasmania

Description

This scheme enables authorised new car dealers to issue registration certificates, plates and labels. Each registered dealer can nominate up to three employees as representatives. Nominated representatives are able to issue registration certificates, plates and labels on behalf of the dealer.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to operate under this scheme you must:

  • hold an exemption certificate issued under the Duties Act 2001
  • be a member of the Motor Trades Association
  • primarily sell new cars
  • have a trading address in Tasmania
  • physically trade in Tasmania
  • be the dealer principle of your dealership.
