You will be required to comply with these standards if you intend to use cathodic protection in the operation of gas pipelines. Cathodic protection is a technique that is used to control the corrosion of metal surfaces. The standards that you need to comply with are:

  • AS 2832.1 Cathodic protection of metals - Pipes and cables
  • AS 2832.2 Cathodic protection of metals - Compact buried structures.
