Manufacturing and Wholesale Chemists Licences - Tasmania

Description

You will need a licence if you intend to operate a business as a manufacturing chemist or a wholesale chemist.

Manufacturing chemists may be authorised, at the place stated in the licence, to make or refine for sale:

  • scheduled substances in general
  • medical cannabis
  • a specified class or specified classes of scheduled substances
  • scheduled substances other than a specified class.

Wholesale chemists may be authorised, at the place stated in the licence, to buy and sell:

  • scheduled substances in general
  • a specified class or specified classes of scheduled substances
  • scheduled substances other than a specified class.

  • be a fit and proper person
  • hold the appropriate qualifications
