Pilot (Chemical Rating) Licence - Tasmania

Service summary

You may require this licence if you are a pilot, employed by an agricultural aircraft operator, and intend to undertake aerial spraying. The owner of such a business may also require this licence if they also intend to pilot an aircraft involved in aerial spraying.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • Hold a Commercial Pilots Licence;
  • Have an Agricultural Pilot Rating;
  • Hold an Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia Operation Spray Safe Certificate of Approval or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Registrar of Chemical Products;
  • Not have been convicted of a crime or have committed an offence punishable by imprisonment; and
  • Pay any required fees.
