Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Industrial Radiography Equipment - Tasmania

Description

You must comply with this code if you are an accredited person intending to issue a certificate of compliance to a place that stores or uses radioactive materials intended for use in industrial radiography.

Industrial radiography is carried out in an industrial environment and uses x-rays and gamma rays to non-destructively obtain information on the internal state of objects and materials.

This code specifies the practices that ensure the unnecessary exposure of persons to ionizing radiation is avoided and that all exposures are kept as low as reasonably achievable.
