You will require this licence if you intend to show or exhibit firearms at specified premises. The firearms must be of a specified category.
If you intend to carry or use any firearm your licence permits you to collect you must further apply to the Agency for permission to do so. This may include to use or carry a firearm at a commemorative or historical event held on an approved range.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible to apply for this licence, you must be 18 years or over and:
- Have satisfactorily completed an approved firearms safety course;
- Be able to meet the storage and safety requirements specified in Act;
- Hold appropriate current professional indemnity insurance; and
- Pay any required fees.
You must indicate the purpose of the exhibition or show in your application, and list the locations where the firearms will be exhibited or shown.
All Firearms Museum Licence applications will be subject to an inspection of the premises and the storage and safekeeping facilities in order to determine if those conditions meet the requirements of the Act.
It is a condition of this licence that the licence holder is familiar and willing to comply with all relevant and current state and commonwealth legislation.
