Fish Receiver Licence (Abalone) - Victoria

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to receive abalone to possess, store, process, sell or for any other specified purpose. A fish receivers' licence may be held by individuals and corporations. The licence, or a copy of the licence, must be held on premises at all times.

This licence requires you to:

  • obtain or receive abalone taken from Victorian waters from the holders of abalone fishery licences, fish receivers licence, aquaculture licence, a general permit or an authorised police officer
  • mark or label abalone packaging with - the address of licence holder, the registered establishment number, the net weight in kilograms, the date the abalone was packaged
  • receive abalone no more than 24 hours after they are taken offshore
  • weigh the abalone no more than 25 hours after it is taken offshore
