Approval of Overseas Student Exchange Organisations - Victoria

Service summary

You will require this approval if you intend to establish an overseas student exchange organisation that offers student exchange programs into and out of Victoria. A student exchange organisation has the purpose of broadening students' educational experiences and intercultural understanding.

An exchange organisation allows overseas students to study within Victoria for a period ranging from 29 days up to one year. Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.

Eligibility requirements

In order to be eligible for this approval you must:

  • meet certain Commonwealth standards
  • be a suitable school, person, or organisation
  • correctly complete an application form and provide the required documentation
  • be willing to abide by any conditions or restrictions placed on your approval by the Agency
  • pay any required fees.
