Trailers Designed for Use in Road Trains - Victoria

Service summary

You will be required to comply with this Australian Design Rule if you intend to manufacture a particular heavy combination vehicle. This rule applies to electrical wiring, connections and installations in certain road trains that are longer than nineteen metres. The road trains are:

  • semi-trailers
  • dog trailers
  • converter dollies.
This rule applies whether or not they were built before the day stated in the ADR for vehicles of that type.
