Approval in Principle of New Non-Emergency Patient Transport Providers - Victoria

Description

An Approval in Principle (AIP) for a Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) provider is not compulsory. An AIP allows you to obtain an assessment of whether you will meet the NEPT licence requirements before purchasing any vehicles or premises. It also allows you to remedy any issues that would otherwise prevent you from obtaining the NEPT licence.

Non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) providers supply transport for patients who require clinical monitoring for the duration of journeys for home to hospital transfer, inter-hospital transfer, and hospital to home transfer. NEPT providers may also offer first aid services at public events.
