Service summary

You will require this permit to place a charity or clothing bin on public land. A charity or clothing bin is a receptacle used for accepting or collecting donations.

Public land includes any land owned or managed by your Council.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

You will need to provide your Council with:

  • a current copy of a certificate of currency for public liability insurance
  • specific details of the bin (size, type, constructions, design, colour, etc.)
  • specifications of the site
  • details of your charitable organisation status.
