This authority may be granted to promote rainfall or otherwise modify natural cloud processes for any of the following purposes:
- Improving primary production;
- Addressing water shortages;
- Reducing fire-danger in a forest area; or
- Any other purpose that the Agency considers to be in the public interest.
Your authorisation will specify in what area, and at which times you are permitted to undertake these operations.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
In order to be eligible for this authority you must:
- Have the capability to undertake rain-making operations;
- Abide by the direction of the Agency in the supply of the required documentation; and
- Pay any prescribed fees.
