Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you intend to slaughter animals for use in pet meat, or produce pet meat at a processing establishment. It specifies the minimum requirements for hygiene in harvesting, transportation, processing, identification, packaging and storage, to ensure a safe and acceptable product. Provision is also made in this standard for the use of fallen stock.
