Australian Standard AS 2092-2004 Pyrotechnic Marine Distress Flares and Signals for Pleasure Craft - Victoria

Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you manufacture smoke signals, distress flares or distress rockets designed for use in pleasure craft. A pleasure craft is a boat used for personal reasons.

This standard specifies construction, performance and packaging requirements for distress rockets, flares and signals, smoke signals and collision warning flares intended for use on board pleasure craft. Recommendations regarding the circumstances under which each type of flare or signal should be used are included in an appendix.
