Code of Practice for Low Risk Mines - Victoria

Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to conduct mining activities that are classed as low risk. Compliance with this code for low risk mining activities is required instead of submitting a Work Plan.

This code provides guidance on managing low risk mining activities in Victoria. Mining projects operating underneath this code must have a licence area of less than five hectares and must not involve:

  • underground operations
  • blasting
  • clearing of native vegetation
  • use of chemicals.
