You will require this permit if you intend to camp, keep or use a caravan on private land or council land that is not part of a designated camping ground or caravan park.

Camping covers such things as a caravan, campervan, mobile structure, vehicle or temporary / provisional form of accommodation used for sleeping or overnight accommodation and it is an offence to camp or sleep in a vehicle overnight whilst the vehicle is parked on a road.
