Permit to Collect Firewood - Victoria

Service summary

Council approval is required to remove firewood from council managed roads. You are not allowed to collect firewood from roads managed by VicRoads.

You will require a permit if you wish to collect firewood for sale.

Residents of Buloke Shire no longer need a permit to collect firewood for personal use from state forest and parks areas. Please contact the council for information on these designated areas.

Firewood can be collected from designated areas during Autumn and Spring, please seek confirmation of specific dates from council.

Collection of domestic firewood must not commence until a written permit is issued and appropriate fees are paid, and must be carried out in compliance with all Acts, Local Laws and Regulations and the conditions, set out in the permit.
