Registration of a Disability Service Provider - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to operate a disability service. A disability service provides for the support of those who are disabled in some capacity. Disability includes both intellectual and physical disabilities.

While registration is not compulsory, a service provider that holds a service agreement with the Department will usually be required to apply for registration as a condition of funding.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • be capable of providing a service to people with disabilities
  • comply with legislative requirements applying to service providers, including mandatory program guidelines, standards, monitoring and accountability conditions.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

Disability Service Providers must advise the Department of any changes to the details kept on the register within fourteen days of a change occurring.
