Registration of a Caravan Park - Yarriambiack Shire Council - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to operate a caravan park or mobile home park, either on private or municipal land.

For the purposes of this registration, a caravan park is an area of land on which movable dwellings are situated for occupation on a short or long-term basis, and where communal bathroom and public areas are provided for residents.

Eligibility requirements

To apply you must submit your application to the local council in the specified form and include:

  • a plan of the caravan park clearly indicating the location and number of all buildings and facilities and all long term sites, short term sites and camp sites
  • a copy of the most relevant report from the local fire authority
  • the schedule of works for the caravan park and evidence of the status of compliance with the schedule of works
  • the emergency management plan for the caravan park
  • the registration application fee.

Operational requirements will vary according to the location of the proposed caravan park or mobile home park.
