Accreditation of a Person to Install and Repair LPG Fuel Systems in Motor Vehicles - Victoria

Service summary

You will require this accreditation if you intend to install or repair Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) fuel systems in motor vehicles. This accreditation exists to ensure LPG fuel systems are installed safety. Repair work means any repair to the vehicle which involves opening the high pressure LPG lines to the atmosphere.

All LPG installations must be fitted with an LPG Compliance Plate. Compliance plates are only issued to Victorian businesses registered with the Automotive Alternative Fuels Registration Board (AAFRB). Accreditation with the AAFRB allows you to carry out LPG conversions and service and repair work on motor vehicles in AAFRB registered workshops (businesses). Restricted accreditation is also available, which authorises you to perform service and repair work only on LPG fuel systems in AAFRB registered workshops.
