Permit to Occupy a Road to Undertake Works - Victoria

Service summary

You may require this permit if you intend to carry out any of the following activities on a road:

  • occupy or fence off part of a road (including parking zones)
  • place or plant vegetation or other objects
  • use a mobile crane or travel tower for building work
  • tamper or interfere with any road reserve
  • make or reinstate a hole or excavation
  • remove, damage or interfere with a temporary traffic signal or sign.

Minor works that are traffic impact works conducted by a representative of a utility, public transport or a road authority on a municipal road range between $83.60 and $129.60. Fees for 2016-17.
