Permit to Light a Fire - Victoria

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to light, allow to be lit or remain alight, a fire in the open air or in an incinerator. Permit restrictions may apply in periods of high fire danger and in particular areas.

People such as farmers, land-clearers and pine plantation owners may require this permit.

You will be exempt from this permit if you want to light a fire for the purposes of cooking, warmth, welding and gas-cutting provided you comply with any set conditions.
