You are required to comply with this standard if you intend to test or examine samples or specimens taken from any livestock or livestock product for the purpose of determining whether it is infected with disease.
This standard applies to owners or operators of veterinary laboratories and animal research laboratories. Testing for any other purposes is covered by the Australian and New Zealand Standard Diagnostic Procedures.
