Permit to Light a Fire or Burn Material on Public Land - City of Armadale - Western Australia

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to light a fire or burn material on a thoroughfare, verge or other public land. A permit will not be issued during certain time periods of high fire risk. Please refer to the Restricted Fire Permit if you intend to light a fire during a period of high fire risk.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for permit you must:

  • ensure the incinerator's emission levels comply with the relevant standards, and that the material to be burnt will not adversely affect the environment or human health
  • ensure the incinerator is inspected regularly
  • ensure that dark smoke is not emitted for in excess of five minutes in any period of one hour
  • submit any required supporting documentation.

You may be required to submit an Air Quality Management Plan.
