Australian Standard AS 2067-1984 Switchgear Assemblies and Ancillary Equipment for Alternating Voltages above 1 kV - Western Australia

Service summary

You will be required to comply with this Standard if you intend to undertake high voltage electrical installations.

You must ensure that any electrical work you do complies with the requirements of this Standard. This Standard provides minimum requirements for the design and erection of high voltage installations in systems with nominal voltages above 1 Kilovolt (alternating current) and nominal frequency up to and including 60 Hz, so as to ensure safety and proper functioning.

Please note that this Standard does not apply to the design of factory built, type-tested equipment for which separate Australian Standards exist to the extent of requirements covered by the standards. However, all other requirements of this Standard not covered by the type tests for the type-tested equipment must be complied with. In particular, ground safety clearances and section safety clearances must comply with this Standard.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
