Individual Firearm Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence to possess or use a firearm or paintball gun.

A firearm licence entitles you to possess, carry and use the firearm or firearms identified in your licence, and ammunition for those firearms.

The approval process is determined by the category or type of firearm applied for, and the reason for which it is required.

You must complete a co-user permission form to apply for a licence to use the firearm of another person.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person
  • provide a 100 point proof of identification
  • provide supporting documentation relevant to the reason you intend to licence a firearm
  • provide a serviceability certificate for each firearm you intend to licence
  • obtain a firearms awareness certificate.
