Street Trader's Permit - Western Australia

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to trade in public places. A public place includes any street reserve, parking station or private property that the public have access too.

Trading includes selling or hiring of goods, wares, merchandise or services or offering goods, wares, merchandise, services for sale or hire, in a street or other public place. It also covers displaying goods, wares or merchandise for the purpose of offering them for sale or hire, inviting offers for sale or hire, soliciting orders or carrying out any other transaction.

You may not require this permit if you are operating from a stall licensed by the council, or at a licensed street market.

Exemptions

Charity organisations may be exempt from holding this type of permit.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must hold suitable public liability insurance and provide details in your application as required by the Council.
