Authorisation to Remove Seasoned or Unseasoned Pinewood from a Restricted Movement Zone - Western Australia

Service summary

You may require this authorisation if you intend to harvest or remove pinewood from a Restricted Movement Zone (RMZ). In Western Australia, restrictions apply to the movement of pinewood in certain areas to prevent the spread of european house borer. During a control period, you must obtain authorisation before removing unseasoned pinewood from a RMZ. Unseasoned pinewood is pinewood that has a moisture content higher than twenty per cent.

Approval is also required at any time to remove seasoned pinewood that has been in an RMZ for more than seventy-two hours unless the removal is carried out according to the procedures specified in the regulations. Seasoned pinewood is pinewood that has a moisture content of twenty percent or less. Other restrictions may apply.
