Service summary

You will be required to comply with this standard if you intend to manufacture, supply or operate an Liquid Petroleum Gas powered motor vehicle. This standard specifies requirements for liquefied petroleum gas fuel systems for engines mounted on motor vehicles. It provides requirements for the design and construction of component parts, and for their installation in vehicles, and for tests, commissioning, and periodic inspection.

You are required to comply with the version of the standard that was in force at the time your vehicle was first equipped to run on liquid petroleum gas. For new vehicles you are required to comply with the version of AS/NZS 1425-1999 LP Gas Fuel Systems for Vehicle Engines published in November 2002.
