You will require this approval if you intend to construct or operate an abattoir in Western Australia. An abattoir is any premises or place used to slaughter animals for sale for human consumption, including the holding yards and other places used in connection with an abattoir.

To be eligible for this approval you must:
- Provide details of the abattoir as required by the Agency, including the abattoir's proposed location and management;
- Submit the required forms; and
- Pay the required fees.
