Health Service Permit - Western Australia

Description

You will need this permit if you operate a business or healthcare facility and intend to:

  • manufacture and/or sell medicines and poisons
  • purchase medicines and poisons and/or sell via a third party
  • use and purchase medicines and poisons in research and/or education settings
  • purchase Schedule 7 poisons (Dangerous Poisons).

Healthcare facilities will also need a permit if they intend to hold an imprest of medicines. This is where a health care facility is supplied by a pharmacy department or authorised seller of medicines for use by all health practitioners at the business.
