You will require this registration if you intend to operate a Taxi Dispatch Service. A Taxi Dispatch Service (TDS), sometimes referred to as a taxi company, takes bookings from customers and delegates them out to taxi drivers.
A taxi dispatch service includes any service that provides co-ordinating, controlling or administrative services to the taxi industry. It also includes any service that provides radio base, computer or telephone services for taxis.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this registration you must:
- Be a person of good character;
- Be a fit and proper person to provide a taxi dispatch service;
- Be able provide an efficient and reliable taxi dispatch service; and
- Be able to comply with any conditions imposed on licences concerning customer service, fare schedules and other matters.
