Service summary

You will require this permit if you are a licensed motor vehicle dealer and you intend to carry on your business from a temporary location or a special event. This is because motor vehicle dealers' are required to register the premises they intend to operate their business from to ensure that the location is suitable for that type of business.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • Lodge the application form at least 7 days prior to the special occasion;
  • Ensure the form is submitted by the holder of a dealer's licence that will be current at the time of the event, a licensed yard manager or the authorised event organiser; and
  • Pay the prescribed fee.
