Service summary

You will require this approval if you intend to collect, remove and dispose of the contents of a septic tank, holdings tanks or an apparatus for the treatment of sewage and other liquid waste. This approval will be granted if you hold a licence to transport septic waste (controlled waste carrier).

Approved activities must be undertaken according to any terms and conditions imposed by the council. These conditions could include the following:

  • The time and method of collection, removal or disposal of contents;
  • The route that can be used to transport the contents; or
  • The type of liquid waste that can be collected.
