You will need to comply with this code to dispose of radioactive waste by means of near-surface disposal. The disposal, the disposal facility and the disposal site must comply with this code.

This code provides standards for the design, safety assessment, operation, regulation and rehabilitation of a disposal facility. It is also relevant for use by those who generate radioactive waste for which disposal by near surface burial is appropriate.
